AWeber Review: Email Follow-Up and the AWeber Advocate Program
Disclosure: Some links on this page are affiliate links. If you join through them, the casino owner may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
AWeber is one of the original email marketing services, trusted by online marketers since before 2000. It's where you keep your list and send follow-up emails. On the casino floor it's a slot machine: an offer nearly every marketer needs, with a referral program that pays every month.
What AWeber does
Most visitors don't buy or join the first time they see an offer. AWeber lets you collect their email with a sign-up form or landing page, then send a series of follow-up emails on autopilot, plus newsletters whenever you like.
- Sign-up forms and landing pages
- Email automations (follow-up series)
- Ready-made email templates, with Canva built in for designs
- Stats on opens, clicks and sales
- Support from their team around the clock
Plans
You can try AWeber free before paying. Paid plans add more lists, landing pages and automations, and let you remove AWeber's branding. Check their pricing page for the current plans, since they change from time to time.
The AWeber Advocate program
AWeber calls its affiliates "advocates." Joining is free, and you get your own referral link to share anywhere. When someone signs up through it and pays, you earn a recurring commission every month for as long as their paid account stays active. The more paid accounts you refer in a year, the higher your commission rate.
Your advocate account also comes with ready-to-use articles and ads, visitor and sales stats, and an email alert each time you make a sale.
Our take
A strong slot machine, because everyone promoting offers needs a way to follow up.
- Good: long track record, easy to use, recurring monthly commissions.
- Watch out: commissions are paid on paid accounts, so people who only try it free don't earn you anything yet.
- Tip: tell people why you use it. A short "here's how I follow up with my list" message works better than a plain link.
